Sulphur Camp in winter. The tarp over the tent helped to shed
snow from the roof. During storms in which rain turned to
snow at night, the freezing rain would cause the snow to stick
to the tarp. To prevent the weight of the ice and snow from
caving in the tent, one needed to go outside several times at
night to sweep the snow off the tarp. The spot bare of snow
in the foreground is where our truck was parked.
